For the technically inquisitive: the original artwork for the 40th Anniversary Limited Edition Print of the Lotus 49 was completed on Canson art paper, using Pantone and American AD markers; Rembrandt soft pastels and Windsor & Newton Designer's gouache. 3D Computer modelling was used to create the driver's helmets and also to build a virtual Lotus 49, which makes up the main part of the front elevation.

Postage is included in the print price

Cliff Ruddell spent many years at Jaguar Cars both in Body in White Engineering and in the Styling Department. After a decade working in the computer design software industry he went freelance and is now an IT and CAD specialist.

He spends a lot of time working with classic and vintage cars and can be seen here using an infra-red 3D scanner to capture the profile shapes of an eight litre Bentley Speed Six for VBE Restorations.
